The best time I've ever had! Playa del Carmen is really an interesting place. Friendly atmosphere and good teaching methods allowed me to learn Spanish much faster than I expected. Die wohl beste Schule in Playa del Carmen. Nicht nur das Lernen hat Spaß gemacht! Durch die zahlreichen außerschulischen Aktivitäten ist mir nie langweilig geworden. Ich habe neue Freunde gefunden und erinnere mich immer gerne an die Zeit in der Academia Columbus zurück. Wenn ich wieder einen Sprachkurs brauche, komme ich sicher wieder zurück!
Die mexikanische Infrastruktur ist sehr gut ausgebaut, fast alle Landesteile sind durch Straßen und Bus- sowie viele Inlandsflugverbindungen erschlossen.

Awesome…..;) Since I'm here, I don't want to go back. The Academy is next to the main street and near the beaches, which is very important to me. After school I go directly to the beach and hang out with nice people from school. During this time I also learned a lot about the Mexican culture. My experience at Academia Columbus was great! The teachers are knowledgeable and friendly which made learning easier. There is also a lot of opportunity to make friends and to continue your Spanish experience outside the classroom. This school has a huge range of activities such as beach volleyball, salsa classes and cooking classes. Also on weekends there are many trips to go on. There is assistance to find accommodations and transportation from the airport. I wouldn't change a thing; my whole experience was amazing!

The balance between teaching methods and length of classes was excellent. All the teachers made us feel at ease and succeeded in helping us. This is a perfect school for absolute beginners. The size of the classes was perfect. We are delighted to have achieved this level and will strongly consider returning. Also our apartment with pool is really �Caribbean”.

Die richtige Entscheidung hier her zu kommen. Mein Plan war es, die mexikanische Kultur mitzuerleben, spanisch zu lernen und einfach den Strand zu genießen. Was das Spanischlernen betrifft war ich bei der Academia Columbus sehr gut aufgehoben. Ich habe an einem Kombinationskurs mit Gruppen- und Einzelunterricht teilgenommen und sehr gute Fortschritte in Spanisch gemacht. Die Lehrkräfte, der Unterricht, die Hilfsmittel, die Atmosphäre in der Schule und die Betreuung waren sehr gut. Besonders gefielen mir die kleinen Gruppen, die Aktivitäten und die Themenauswahl durch die Lehrer.

Kurzentschlossen bin ich nach Mexiko gereist um Kultur, Menschen und die Sprache zu lernen. Academia Columbus hat mir ermöglicht , durch die professionellen Lehrer, meine Sprachkenntnisse in kürzester Zeit weiter auszufeilen. Ich bin sehr froh, diesen Schritt gemacht zu haben, und kann die Schule deshalb nur weiterempfehlen. Auch die außerschulischen Aktivitäten haben mir sehr gefallen. Also Casa Ferrero, the house where I'm staying, is a great place; many students staying here. We all enjoy spending time after school and having barbecues or just chilling in the pool. I should be writing this in Spanish since I've learned so much at your school. I started off with booking 3 weeks at Columbus but after the first week I knew I needed to stay longer. The teachers at Columbus are so wonderful and patient. Within the first two weeks I think I learned more than I did in a year of high school Spanish. The time goes quickly and my ability to learn more and more increased each day. I felt confident to try out my Spanish on the beach, at restaurants, and of course the bars on 5th Ave. I added on another week because I wanted to learn more and because I loved my accommodations. Being able to really live in Mexico, getting to know people who live and work here, and making new friends have been the best experiences of my life. All my friends and family are jealous back at home and I think you'll have some new students thanks to my emails describing my adventures in Playa del Carmen with Columbus. Oh, and I LOVE the activities the school plans for the students...especially the Salsa lessons. I can now cut a rug like a real Mexican Mamacita!
