Applying for and Arranging the Internship

In order for us to successfully arrange an internship for you, please send us a cover letter that details your desired job, the preferred timeline, and your reasons for wanting to take part in an internship. We will also need your resume in Spanish that includes a specification of your Spanish language skills.

As soon as we have received your application materials, we will forward them to our school in Heredia. Our Heredia school will then contact our cooperation partners in Costa Rica so that we can submit to you a concrete proposal regarding your desired internship as soon as possible.

Optimal Time to Apply

Depending on the field of study and the length of the desired internship, it is best that you apply about two to four months before you leave. Last minute applications are also possible, of course.

In brief

  1. Application with cover letter and resume in Spanish
  2. We will contact our partner organisations and companies
  3. You will get detailled information about your internship
  4. Language course (Min. 2 weeks)
  5. Beginn Internship (Min. 8 weeks)

Internship Requirements

In order for us to arrange an internship for you, you must possess good Spanish language skills and be able to remain in the internship for at least eight weeks. Practical experience in your field of study, excellent Spanish skills, enrolment in a course of studies, and a longer internship duration are advantageous.

Spanish Skills

If you do not yet have sufficient Spanish language skills, then you can always acquire these in one of our courses. Moreover, you can always brush up on previously acquired Spanish skills before you begin your internship or enhance your skills with a specialized course (for example, Business Spanish or Spanish for Medical Professionals).

Specialized Courses

The specialized courses offered by our school in Heredia prepare you for your impending internship. These courses, which are generally offered as private instruction, are targeted at your internship and will give you optimal preparation for your job.
