No CV or résumé can do without them in the professional world anymore in this day and age! Internships are proof of determination and practical experience. And, especially when done abroad, they show flexibility, open-mindedness and the courage to explore the unfamiliar. We offer internships and volunteering all year round in many different areas throughout Ecuador, Costa Rica and Mexico. You can start your work experience placement any week. You are free to decide on the length of your work experience with the approval of the company, whereby the required duration is usually 12 weeks, in some areas less. Work experience in Latin America will provide you with the unique opportunity to experience the working life in a Latin American company, and get to know different ways of thinking and working. This will provide you with invaluable experience for your future professional career.

Application

Applying for and Arranging the Internship

In order for us to successfully arrange an internship for you, please send us your cover letter that details your desired job, the preferred timeline, and your reasons for wanting to take part in an internship. We will also need your résumé in Spanish, including a specification of your Spanish language skills.

As soon as we have received your application documents, we will then contact our cooperating partners abroad so that we can submit to you a concrete proposal regarding the desired internship as soon as possible.

Best Time to Apply

Depending on the field of study and the length of the desired internship, it is best that you apply about two to four months before you leave. Last minute applications will also be accepted.

Internship Requirements

The requirements for a work experience placement are good knowledge of the Spanish language and an internship duration of at least 12 weeks, in some areas less.

It is also advantageous to participate in a work experience over a longer period of time (ideally three to six months), have prior experience in the relevant subject area, very good knowledge of the Spanish language, and having started a degree.

In addition, students are also required to do a language course of a minimum duration of 2 weeks (advanced level) or 4 weeks course (basic knowledge) at our school. Absolute beginners must book a course with a minimum duration of 12 weeks at our school or an 8 weeks intensive course. You can of course also study with us for a longer time.

Spanish Proficiency

If you do not possess the required Spanish fluency you can acquire this in a course beforehand with us. Furthermore you have the option of freshing up your Spanish skills before the commencement of their internship as well as specializing your previous Spanish knowledge by taking a special course (such as Business or Medical Spanish).

Special Courses

The special courses at our schools prepare you for your forthcoming internships. These courses are tailored to the requirements of the corresponding internships and are generally offered as individual classes to offer an ideal preparation for the respective field of work.

Prices for a internship meditation

Internship mediation fee: 195 €

Absolute beginners have to book at least an 8 weeks Spanish course (intensive), interns with an advanced level have to book at least a 2 weeks Spanish course.

Applying for an internship does not legally entitle the student to an internship place. Should we be unable to offer you an internship, we will reimburse you the full amount. If you do not take up the internship opportunity offered to you by us, in your field, no reimbursement will be made.
