Activities

Every week, we offer a comprehensive recreational program. You can learn more about Playa del Carmen and Mexico during dance classes, city tours, cooking classes, and fiestas. The school also organizes interesting excursions around Playa del Carmen, for example to Mayan cities, dive excursions and much more.

On the first school day, we start off with a tour around Playa del Carmen to help you get around from day one. We show you all important things as how to take the bus, withdraw money from the ATM, go shopping and so on.

The following activities are offered:

• Dance classes - Together with our dance instructor, students will discover the Caribbean beat (salsa and merengue, for example) and immerse themselves in the Central and Latin American temperament. In the break during the two hour dance course, a typical cocktail will be prepared and sampled jointly with the teacher.
• Cooking classes - Our students participate with the instructor in cooking and enjoying the culinary specialties of the country (such as Tacos, Fajitas, .)
• Lectures - At our panel lectures, lessons and documentaries on historical and current topics of Mexico will help students learn more about the country, culture, and history of their course location. The lectures' themes and vocabulary will be prepared accordingly in class lessons, depending on the proficiency level of the students.
• Fiestas - At least once per month our students enjoy a typical Mexican celebration at school, including traditional food, cocktails, and dancing.
• Karaoke
• Visit of a museum - Learn more about the culture of Mexico at these fascinating parks.
• Movie nights - Enjoy a relaxing movie with other students near the school.

The following excursions are offered:

• Tulum - on of the most beautiful Mayan history. Get a fascinating view when the pyramid "El Castillo" gleaming on the clear water of the Caribbean.
• Coba - this Maya pyramid is about 120" high and surround by tropical rain forest. Clime up 117 stairs to the top and get a wonderful view of Yucatan.
• Chitchen-Itza is easily the most visited archaeological site in all Mexico. It is the most important and best reserved Mayan pyramid.
• Merida - the biggest and of the most beautiful city in all Yucatan. The colonial city with its amazing buildings, parks and museums is a great destination for everyone.
• Cenote Dos Ojos - this place in Yucatan is well known by all divers due to incredible underwater caves. But also snorkelling and swimming through these amazing water holes with crystal clear water is great fun.
