The Academia Columbus Philosophy

“Living and learning Spanish“ is not just a slogan for us, but what we actually do. We do not just teach Spanish to our students, but we offer them the opportunity to use their acquired skills in real-life situations: to „live“ Spanish. In our view this is a precondition for achieving maximum learning success.

„Living the language“ goes well beyond our practical classroom lessons. It also encompasses the opportunity to live in well-selected host families, offering not just an accommodation, but also an excellent opportunity to apply newly learned language skills in everyday conversations. Therefore host family stays form an integral part of the „living and learning Spanish“ philosophy.

The language also mirrors a country’s cultural life. Therefore, through our cultural program and excursions which we organize in addition to our lessons, we offer our students the opportunity to gain greater insight into the diversity of the Ecuadorian, Costa Rican or Mexican culture while learning Spanish.
