Language Course Questions and Answers

When do language courses begin?

Our courses begin every Monday all year round, so you can begin any time problem-free. Exceptions can be made upon request.

What types of courses are there?

We offer mini group classes (2-5 students) and individual training as standard (4 hours/day) and intensive ( 6 hours/day) courses. We also offer intensive combination courses that consist of 20 group lessons and 10 individual training lessons per week. In addition we offer specialized courses (as individual training) for various subject areas, which will help you prepare for your specific career path. You are welcome to decide upon the content of these courses with your teacher. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes.

How long does a language course last?

The minimum length for a language tour is one week. The average length of stay at our school is between 3 and 8 weeks. Longers stays are, of course, possible and not uncommon.

Can anyone take a language course? Can I make a language tour as a beginner?

Yes, anyone who wants to learn Spanish or improve their Spanish skills can take a course with us! Our students range from absolute beginners to interpreters. Previous knowledge of the Spanish language is not necessary.

What is the best course?

All of our courses are specially aligned to your proficiency level! At the beginning of each course (with the exception of absolute beginners), students complete a placement test. Lessons and the division of groups are based on the results of placement tests. You will, therefore, be in a group with other course participants of the same proficiency level. It is also possible to change groups after consulting with your teacher. You can choose your course (standard or intensive, group classes or individual training) depending on how quickly you want to learn Spanish and how much time you wish to devote to studying. Do not forget: Spanish is not learned only in the classroom. During your free time we offer several opportunities to practice what you have learned in your lessons: in your host family, while shopping, when you go out, etc.

How old are the other course participants and where do they come from?

Most of our students are between 18 and 35 years old, but there aren't any age limits! You can learn a language at any age, as our "older" students always prove. Our students come from all over the world.

Can I book a language course without an accommodation?

You can certainly book a language course without an accommodation. The prices for a language course without accommodation are found on the respective price lists.

Is there an application deadline and how do I register?

We do not have any application deadlines, so you can register for a language course at any time. Simply fill out the registration formular and sent it to us in the mail or by post. You are also welcome to register online.

Will I receive a certificate of participation after the language course?

All students receive a certificate upon successful completion of their language course.

Flight Questions

What should I bear in mind when booking a flight?

As a rule the earlier you book your flight the cheaper it will be. The number of price worthy flights are sold out fairly early, especially during the summer months, so that flight prices rise very quickly. For flights with a stop-over in the United States of America (AA and Continental, for example), you can bring luggage up to 64 kg in weight. For all other airlines you can only bring luggage up to a maximum of 20 kg in weight (exception: flights with Iberia to Costa Rica). This information can be important for persons staying for a long period of time in another country.

Where can I find a reasonably priced flight?

It is often noticeably cheaper when you book two separate flights (such as Germany-Miami, Miami-Quito). Price worthy flights are offered by the Latin American Circle of Friends in Bremen and several providers in the internet. We would gladly help you find a reasonably priced flight.
